Mersea cottage - in a perfect location

The house has been owned by the same family for the last 40 years, it has been modernised over the years making it feel like a home from home. We feel that The Lane is arguably the best and most characterful location on the island. If you are a seafood enthusiast you couldn’t be better situated as The Company Shed is a 5 minute walk away. It’s walking distance to the beach and sea wall. The village 15 minute walk away with restaurants, cafes & shops. Bikes are a good way to get around the island

Old Forge Studio - Romantic Suffolk retreat

The Old Forge Studio is in an amazing old building with lots of character. Small and cosy it has everything you need for a relaxing weekend or a longer stay to explore the area. Set opposite a stunning church in the beautiful village of Boxford. Boxford boasts two pubs, a great cafe, three shops, and a monthly market, everything you need is on your doorstep. Only 20 minutes from Lavenham, Hadleigh & Sudbury and 25 minutes from Dedham we are perfectly positioned to explore beautiful Suffolk.

Now with super-fast Fibre Max internet, The Beach House is situated on the Essex Sunshine Coast, right on the bank of a tidal creek with stunning views of the sea in front and the river behind. Being in the Nature Reserve, we cannot accept dogs or pets of any kind; sorry. We do not let to groups; we only let to families or two couples maximum. Absolutely no groups of more than four guests or parties of any kind. High tide sometimes cuts off the house so please be aware of this.

Moments from the beach our holiday home is a cosy, well equipped, 3 bedroomed 35 ft static caravan with leisure decking. Sited in a quiet location on West Mersea's Waldegraves Holiday Park. Beautiful sea views, amazing sunsets and a private garden to unwind and relax in. The Park's facilities/entertainment for families are near at hand. Seafood has been Mersea's speciality since the Roman times. Colchester, a short drive away offers a wide variety of leisure and entertainment venues.

Whether you’re get up and go types or would rather relax than rush, you’ll find Mersea has something to suit everyone’s taste and pace. Just take a short stroll from the cottage and you’ll discover a delightful esplanade and beach, two rather nice pubs, cafe’s, a yacht club and the famous seafood eateries. You’ll hear the bells ringing out from the sailing boats and see kids enthusiastically crabbing from the jetty. We fell head over heels in love with Mersea and hope you will too.
