Mersea cottage - in a perfect location

The house has been owned by the same family for the last 40 years, it has been modernised over the years making it feel like a home from home. We feel that The Lane is arguably the best and most characterful location on the island. If you are a seafood enthusiast you couldn’t be better situated as The Company Shed is a 5 minute walk away. It’s walking distance to the beach and sea wall. The village 15 minute walk away with restaurants, cafes & shops. Bikes are a good way to get around the island

The Stables is in a beautiful peaceful part of Suffolk, on the River Deben, with footpaths, wild swimming, pubs within walking distance, birdwatching, views for artists, and fabulous lanes for cycling. Perfect for paddle boarders and kayaks too. Now with super-fast Fibre Max internet, The Beach House is situated on the Essex Sunshine Coast, right on the bank of a tidal creek with stunning views of the sea in front and the river behind. Being in the Nature Reserve, we cannot accept dogs or pets of any kind; sorry. We do not let to groups; we only let to families or two couples maximum. Absolutely no groups of more than four guests or parties of any kind. High tide sometimes cuts off the house so please be aware of this.

Whether you’re get up and go types or would rather relax than rush, you’ll find Mersea has something to suit everyone’s taste and pace. Just take a short stroll from the cottage and you’ll discover a delightful esplanade and beach, two rather nice pubs, cafe’s, a yacht club and the famous seafood eateries. You’ll hear the bells ringing out from the sailing boats and see kids enthusiastically crabbing from the jetty. We fell head over heels in love with Mersea and hope you will too.

With off street parking for two mid size cars and a south facing (sun trap) garden, Jasmine Cottage is a perfect base for a Suffolk getaway. The cottage happily sleeps four but is perfect as a luxurious retreat for two. Location is amazing - Just a few minutes walk from the Market Hill, the Thoroughfare and glorious River Deben. Dogs welcome (fully enclosed garden).

The Moorings: 3 bed house in historic Lane.

Located in the historic and picturesque Anchorage area of beautiful Mersea Island the house is in a quiet and tranquil lane, with the sea a moments distance away. 50 Yards at the end of the lane turn left for pubs and restaurants and turn right to find the sea wall, with opportunities for bird watching and scenic dog walks. The property sleeps 5/6 people and has an enclosed garden with seating and bbq, there is also a large lockable shed for any outdoor equipment.

Riverside gem with a nautical past

In the heart of lower Wivenhoe on the quay, our little self-contained cottage was once part of the home of The Colne Marine and Yacht Company. Its thick brick walls and quiet and pretty disposition, defy its former role as a working yard where timber yachts were crafted and repaired, drawn up inside at high tide. Emma and Charlie welcome guests back time after time to relax and enjoy this very special place. We hope you will join them.
