Our upstairs apartment is located in the heart of downtown Murfreesboro, 8 blocks from the square and less than 2 miles from MTSU. It is completely private and secure. The apartment was built out in 2016 so everything is well-appointed and completely updated. We pride ourselves on our Southern hospitality and welcome everyone!

The space
The kitchen is completely updated with all stainless steel appliances, dishwasher included. We also have an industrial kitchen sink and a walk-in pantry. We have everything you need for basic meal prep and are happy to purchase and provide additional items within reason if you have a special request.
The living room in comfortable with a cozy couch, reading nook, work space, and 48" TV with a DirectTV package and DVR. Please do not order movies from the Cinema channels or add any subscriptions to our service. The living room also has a few USB outlets for convenient device charging. We have a nice mix of old and new with our decor to provide a unique but comfortable environment.
Bedroom 1- Queen sized bed with two walk in closets, a dresser, and nightstand.
Bedroom 2- King sized Tempurpedic bed with walk in closet, dresser included.
Each bedroom and the living room has its own remote-controlled, ductless HVAC unit. They are fairly easy to use, but if you have any questions we're happy to help! Please keep all 3 units on approximately the same settings (mode: heat/cool and temp).
The bathroom is equipped with two vanities, a linen closet, and a full size shower/tub. The shower has a very pleasant rain shower head that's extra tall because our last (and first and only) long term tenant was very tall! Again, we really try to make accommodations when we can ;). The bathroom also has a little wall heater so you can make it nice and toasty. The floor tile is natural stone.
Additional storage: Outside of the 3 walk in closets, full size pantry, and bathroom linen closet, we have an additional hall closet and a very large attic space/laundry room with lots of storage!
Laundry: The laundry room is equipped with a full size washer and dryer. If you don't want to do your own laundry, I can put you in touch with a housekeeper or Big B's dry cleaners is just a few blocks away on the square.

Where you’ll be

Murfreesboro, Tennessee, United States

This house is special to us. My husband's grandfather built this house, which is why we have named it the DeGeorge house. We hope you enjoy it here just as much as we do.
We are just 8 blocks from the historic Murfreesboro square, which has several restaurants (The Alley on Main, Milano's, Marina's, Jack Brown's, Puckett's, City Cafe, B McNeil's, and others), night clubs and bars (Liquid Smoke, Tempt, Barcadium, Jack Browns (burgers and beers), The Alley on Main (great restaurant with a Sunday Bloody Mary bar and live music), a cigar bar (The Humidor), hair salons (Urban Image, Head Trip, Woodsviking Barbershop, Shave Barbershop, Pastime Pool Hall and Barbershop), spas (Serendipity, Nurture Nook, etc), an ice cream shop, dry cleaners (Big B's), boutiques (Sugaree's, Trendy Pieces, Bella's, etc.), an antique store (Smotherman's), a donut shop (Kwik Mart), a bakery (Simply Pure Sweets), several home decor and gift shops (Quinn's Mercantile, Daffodilly Design, Country Gourmet, etc), a protein smoothie and tea bar (Vibe Nutrition), music instrument stores, florists, and the Farmer's market (Summer weekends).

We're also biking distance to MTSU's campus. It's 1.4 miles down the road. MTSU's rec center has kayaks, canoes, inflatable kayaks, bikes, camping gear, and lots of other stuff that you can rent very affordably!

Outside of the historic square area but still in the neighborhood:
Donut Country, Blue Coast Burrito, La Siesta Mexican Restaurant, La Esquina Taco Shop, Five Senses Restaurant, Al Rayan's Market and Restaurant (hidden gem with the best hummus I've ever tasted), Oakland's Historic Mansion and Wetlands (visit the mansion, enjoy the kid's park, take a walk through the wetlands and visit the natural refrigerator!)

Outside of the neighborhood but still nearby:
Stones River National Battlefield, Dog Park on West College, Greenway (extends through a lot of Mboro... take a walk, ride a bike, enjoy the Stones River, rent a kayak from MTSU), Poke Fun (deconstructed sushi bowls), Just Love Coffee (has old arcade games galore!), Sushin Japanese Restaurant, Fin Fusion Sushi, Cup Pop (amazing and affordable Korean rice bowls), Fusion 9 (Indian food+Sports bar, sounds crazy but I've heard it's delicious), International Market (Asian grocery store that serves fresh Pho), Earth Experience: Middle Tennessee Natural History Museum, Todd Art Gallery on MTSU's campus, the Discovery Center and Wetlands (kid's museum with outdoor wetlands that are free to walk).
