FOYER: A small foyer (i.e. entryway) is shared with the owner. You may occasionally see or hear the owner in the foyer. The studio is behind a coded locked door leading off from the foyer.

PARKING: Up to 1 outdoor parking space is available on-site for free within a secure parking lot with 24 hour security. One can park almost anywhere above ground in the surface lots where there is not a 'restricted' sign. No parking is allowed in the garages. You will be given a parking pass to put on the dashboard of your car.

CHILDREN: No children or infants allowed as the space is not baby or toddler-proofed.

ENVIRONMENT: This space is more environmentally-benign than others because much of the furniture and accoutrements are recycled, re-used, or re-purposed. Items that would have otherwise been thrown out were instead repaired and ‘made new’ again. Some furniture pieces are repaired and refurbished antiques.

COVID-19: Between each guest, the unit is cleaned rigorously with cleaners & disinfectants, as well as virus-killing UV light, & all COVID-19 precautions are followed. The unit is cleaned with both cleaner and disinfectant and allowed to air out for hours with fresh air from the window before the next guest's arrival. UV light, which kills viruses, is also shined on all areas of the property, including, but not limited to, the bathroom, walk-in closet, vanity, hallway, bedroom, and inside kitchen equipment. Fresh, clean air is pulled into the unit via open windows, fans and HEPA air filters. All linens are washed thoroughly with hot water and environmentally-benign soap / detergent. All in-person interactions with host are with a mask, face shield, and gloves. A rigorous check list is followed to clean & disinfect the unit between guests.

CHECK-IN: Guests can choose between (1) meeting the host in person to check-in or (2) a contactless check-in, in which the guest is messaged detailed directions for checking in on the check-in day.

VIDEO TOUR: Please message the host to view an 8-minute video tour of the studio condo.

I was born and raised in the Washington D.C. area. I have lived all over the U.S. and also in England and Italy. I have travelled throughout Europe and Asia. I enjoy travelling in part to learn about the history, culture, and social anthropology of an area.

I enjoy salsa and swing dancing, hiking, trying new activities, experiencing a beautiful view, exercising at the gym, and learning new things. I enjoy watching/listening to a documentaries on a myriad of topics. One of my favorite documentaries is about the Ancient Roman Empire, and is entitled Rome, Rise and Fall of an Empire, by the History Channel.

Some of my favorite cities include Rome, Venice, London, Freiburg, Istanbul, Petra, Bangkok, Seoul, Kyoto, San Francisco, San Diego, Boston, New York, and Washington D.C.

Some of my favorite movies include Life is Beautiful, The Lives of Others, Immortal Beloved, Veronica Guerin, the Pirates of Penzance, Indochine, Kolya, Dangerous Beauty, Princess Mononoke, Amadeus, Breach, Trade, and (for a sophomoric laugh) Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.

I try to eat gluten-free, vegan at home. When on travel, I tend to eat vegetarian or pescatarian. I do not drink alcohol or do drugs.

My impression is that my friends would say of me that I am extremely responsible, honest, and a fundamentally good person. Others have commented to me that I “have the nicest friends.” That is definitely true, and a blessing.
