This is a 1BR apartment above an attached garage offering you expansive views & fresh air at a high point of Vermont!

Enjoy a full kitchen & bathroom, open living area w/ pull-out couch that sleeps a small full-size, & a private bedroom w/ queen bed & skylight. With reliable wifi & cell service, you can enjoy Hardwick (5 mins to town) & beyond. You can't beat the views from The Suite on The Hill!

PS- sadly, we can’t allow pets in the Suite. Our dog, Reba, needs her space!

The space
The Suite is ideal for a single person, couple, or a few friends. The living area has a couch w/ chaise, and chair for seating, a TV (no cable but you can login to your favorite streaming services), and a full kitchen. The kitchen is filled with the essentials: drip coffee maker, electric kettle, microwave, a small pot & frying pan (plus a cast iron pan!), some mixing bowls, plates, cups & utensils. We will set you up with coffee, tea, honey, sugar, and a few breakfast basics such as cereal or oatmeal. Plus, our well produces some of the freshest water you'll taste in VT!

Our guest suite is above the garage attached to the house. Please note that you share a wall with our home office. Both Amanda & Kole alternate working from home and outside the home a few days a week. We do our best to keep things as quiet as possible to respect the sanctity of your time here.

If you are coming to stay with us from November to April, please be prepared for winter! If you’re coming April-May, it’ll be mud season! Northern Vermont winters are notorious and our hill in Hardwick gets a lot of weather. It’s gorgeous! Then, when the snow melts it turns to mud and our dirt roads (of which there are many) get ruts. The steep part of West Hill is paved, but our driveway is not. We recommend snow tires and 4-wheel drive on your vehicle if you are coming up during these months. With proper preparation, the winter is one of the best parts of living in VT. Bring your skis, your wool layers, your capable vehicle and come enjoy the season!

North Central Vermont is a very special place. Hardwick is a hidden gem, offering a sweet walk down main street (5 minutes from The Suite) for great food, craft beer, a coffee shop, co-op, thrift shop & bookstore! A fifteen minute drive takes you to Caspian Lake's Public Beach & famous General Store or head to Craftsbury where you can grab a sammie at The Genny, peruse the Saturday Farmer's Market, or visit the Outdoor Center.

While the suite is attached to our house, sharing a wall with our home office, we value your peace & privacy. We will make sure you have all the instructions you need to get to the suite. After that, you're on your own unless you need us!

Please note that we have a border collie named Reba who will likely bark when you come and go. If you see her outside, it’s best to leave her to her business as it can take some time for her to warm to new people.

With the continued COVID uncertainty, we ask that all guests of the suite (and anyone you bring into the space) be fully vaccinated.
