Your kids will love this place (you will too!). Montreat offers a large playground that has a stream running along side it. Once the kids are finished on the playground, they will certainly love playing in the stream for hours. Also, Montreat has a small lake that offers canoeing/paddle boating/fishing. Our family loves to go for walks in Montreat. You can park at the main entrance and walk into the “town” or drive in and park. Great place for picnics!

Our family loves to go for walks in Montreat. You can park at the main entrance and walk into the “town” or drive in and park. Great place for picnics!
This is a multi-use park. It includes walking trails, a greenway that takes you into downtown Black Mountain, disc golf, playground and sports complex. You can walk over to the park from the house (please note there are not sidewalks, but the shoulder of the road offers sufficient space) or take a short drive over.
