Getting around
Trinidad is best explored on foot.
The historical centre, with its cobble stoned streets, is a car free zone. You will find bicycle taxi’s and electric tricycles on most street corners. Horse and cart rides are recommended to explore more of the town. A red double decker bus travels to and from the beach throughout the day and taxi’s are available to take you to the coast, valley or mountains nearby for a day or half day trip.
Book before you go
Car Hire
It is highly recommended to book/hire a car online before you travel to Cuba. Petrol can be purchased by credit or debit card in tourist centres and on the main highways.
Traveling with kids
Pack Snacks
Restaurant menu’s include meals for children and Cuban’s rarely eat spicy food. Some baby food is available in the shops but fresh milk is scarce. Fresh fruit and juices can be easily purchased on the street.
