Our favorite breakfast spot is the Red Hut Cafe. We love taking an early morning walk through the back streets of Tahoe and arriving at the Red Hut for their delicious breakfast. The service is always great.

We love their deck in the summer time and their fireplace in the winter. The food is good, but the view is even better. Besides, it's the home of the Wet Woody!

Emerald Bay is beautiful and a must see. You can take the hike down to Vikingsholm as well. It's a bit of a drive.

This is a great place to visit in Autumn (end of September, first part of October). They have a great loop trail that will take you to a bridge where you can see the salmon. A little beyond that is an underground viewing area where, if you are lucky, you can see the salmon up close. And if you still have energy and time, take the side hike down to the lake. The autumn colors and the views of the mountain are breathtaking. It's a great outing for kids and still a lot of fun for adults.

The Black Bear Lodge has lovely grounds and serve wine & beer. There's even wine tasting on Thursday nights. They are within walking distance. But be sure and check their hours, they are only open for a short time every evening.
