Sightseeing

Hovers high above so the view of the circle around Reykjavík is great from the balcony telescopes. One of the former water tanks have been changed into a very cool natural museum where guests see, hear and feel the power of volcanoes, earthquakes and geothermal energy.

A small lighthouse at the west end of Reykjavík. First built in 1897 but rebuilt in 1947. Two men have lived on the premises from 1897 to 1970. The lighthouse is only accessible on foot during low tide for about 6 hours and not at all during birds nesting season. Bus nr. 11 takes you near the lighthouse, about 15 min walk.
