Take the hour long drive up to Egmont and then an hour hike in to see the world class, largest free standing tidal wave! you won't be disappointed and if you're lucky you'll see kayakers and standup paddle boarders surfing and maybe a sealion or two! Afterwards, have lunch/dinner at the Back Eddy pub or a more upscale experience at the Westcoast Wilderness Lodge. Best to catch the tides on the +XL.
