The Nature Center has a gift store, and maps of trails for walking, with or without dogs, and biking.
There are 2 hiking trails beyond the back door. One leads to a spring at the base of a mountain, the other a rocked spring pool to sit on. This is the only trail that doesn’t allow dogs.

3629 US-77There are many great hiking trails here; my favorite with my dog is the Rock Creek Trail #1 by Veteran’s Lake. It’s usually quiet, through the woods, and follows the creek. There’s a nice paved trail that is about 3 miles and goes all around the lake. You can fish here, by boat, on the shore, or at the floating dock. There is also places to swim.
