It's a beautiful used bookstore with lots of nooks and crannies...and it's a champagne bar...I mean, how much more awesome can you get?! It's wonderful! AND it's in the Grove Arcade, which is a beautiful shopping center from the early 20's and is excellent to walk through, just to look at the architecture alone.

The closest "brewery" just down the mountain toward Asheville on 74A. It's a couple of train cabooses with decks and beer. We've never been yet, but it looks like fun and a great place to have a pint while the kids look at the trains!

This farm is on the side of the mountain going towards Asheville. The first stop is the horse farm, and Annie and her crew can set you up with an authentic and awe inspiring horse trek throughout the valleys and winding paths of our mountain.
At the end of the mountain as 74 A levels out, turn right for the farm. They have amazing grass fed meats, a bakery and a true fall experience with a pumpkin patch and corn maze.
Even in the "off season" you can see the animals, ride on a trike path, jump in corn in a silo, slide on adult size slides down the mountain, and they also have barn dances every Friday night in there pavilion.

Hop on and drive anywhere on an iconic parkway. You can go anywhere from Boone to Mount Mitchell-it's a slow go, but it is beautiful-get out a map and get on it for at least a bit. The Blue Ridge Parkway Arts Center is a few exits from our onramp at the end of 74 A going into Asheville and is so full of cool local art and exhibits, sometimes live wood craft making, etc.

There are two Ingles, but the other one isn't showing up. The one showing is the Ingles in Lake Lure, which is a full service grocery store about 20-25 minutes on one side of the mountain towards Hendersonville/Tryon.
