Food Scene
This one is not so close, so you may go to "Den Kinesiske Mur" for an even bigger buffet.
I'd also recommend "Maharaja" on Amagerbrogade.
The reason I recommend this one - "the happy family" - this is where we always go :-)

It's fairly cozy and close to town. We typically walk from home and North towards downtown. Rimini has some pretty good Italian pizzas. So we end up here for a fairly cheap meal. Denmark is not cheap! Especially drinks are a bit pricey.
Tips? Tips are included (17 percent of the price). We typically leave tips, but it is not expected and... you already did tip!!! Also cab has tips included. So there. Don't expect service in Denmark.

Drinks & Nightlife
This is the best place in Copenhagen! You asked me, so you got it. From Langebro, you can stagger back to Zealand, since it is on the bridge. Cafe Langebro is fairly cheap for students (1 Tuborg is 20 DKK - please allow for obsolete info - I have not had a beer for some time). If not on a budget, Cafe Langebro offers a wide variety of craft beer on tap. Go for Ale 16 (Danish stuff) - a sure thing. But then there are brews from Amager Bryghus (the local brewery - yes Amager has one) and e.g. Mikkeler (very "different" guy). Of course, there is the usual stuff - Carlsberg, Grimbergen, Leffe, Guiness... but ask the bar keep for a taste and do forget that tips are included!
Sportsbar? Yes.
