This is the lake we are on, it is a good sized , quiet and not to rough. The lake is filled from springs and 5 waterways of which the best one for a canoe trip is Commanda Creek.

Our Location and Commanda lake
Commanda lake is the head waters to the Restoule river system, the waterway travels from Commanda lake thru Restoule Lake,Stormy lake and then into the lower french river and finally into Georgian bay
Hike the side of Commanda lake, use the boat launch 1/4 away, see waterfalls 1.5 km away and Rockcliffe Pottery Studio which is beside us.

There are 36 lakes within 10 km with beaches and more. Many artisans, craft shops dot the region and trails and back rd touring can be exceptional.. In the village there is a deli market, LCBO in-out store variety store , Royal Canadian legion and more.

Car/motorcycle is the best transportation in this rural area
Winter a 4x4 vehicle is recommended
What to pack
Beach toys,fishing pole and towels, Linens, lawn chairs
Great fishing and swimming can be had on Commanda lake and many lakes in the area. Plan on hiking , good foot wear and water containers. Winter be prepared for very cold temperatures,. the lake freezes and skating and ice fishing can be had. Bicycles are a good choice also for summer activities. We have bait and wood.
We are not supplying Linens Pillow, Blankets or towels.
