Food Scene
This place is wonderful. We have never had a bad meal at this restaurant. The daily specials are well prepared and often quite unique and surprising. They do an amazing gumbo that they offer from time to time. They have a full bar. In the summer they offer seating outside on the deck right in the heart of Crouch.

This is a great place to stop either on the way up to the cabin from Boise or on the way back. It is right on a beautiful stretch of the Payette river, right off highway 55. If you like oysters, they got'em. Food is good. They even have a horseshoe pit on the river bank near the outside seating area. The feel of a mountain lodge on the river.

Drinks & Nightlife
The night before we went into this place we watched Son of Pale Face, a 1950's movie with Bob Hope and Jane Russell that we have in our cabin. What does that have to do with this you are asking? Well Bob Hope first sets eyes on Jane Russell in that movie in, "THE DIRTY SHAME SALOON." Coincidence, we think not. Did we also mention they have Cold beer!

In addition to a full grocery store, you can purchase liquor here or rent a movie. They also have a deli. The hours are generally speaking pretty convenient. NOTE: the produce is not always the freshest. Might want to get that in Boise before heading up to the cabin. But it is convenient having this store in downtown Crouch.
