This is by far my favourite bakery in Iceland. They have amazing sour dough bread and their pastries are addictive. It is usually quite busy there, but don't let the cue scare you away, it is worth the wait.

A nice pizza place that offers pizzas with "not your everyday toppings" e.g. "pizza with cream cheese, pulled duck, apples, cheese, sour cream and caramelized figs" - I strongly recommend you try their pizzas, they are delicious. In the same building on the top floor you have Mikkeler & Friends micro brewery that offer a great selection of artesanal beer on tap.

Vesturbæjarlaug pool, is a swimming pool located in the western part of down town Reykjavík. For an Icelandic person there is nothing as refreshing and uplifting as visiting the pool, swim a little bit and then kick back in the hot tub and steam bath. For the adventurous people, they also have a cold pot :)
