Just across the water from where you camp is Bledsoe Creek State Park. Kayak 1/3 of a mile to their boat ramp and hike the trail that runs parallel to the water or drive there. You'll see lots of animals, too.

Closest place for gas, drinks, cigarettes, ice, beer. Only two miles from Come As You Are Camping. In the mornings, they make biscuits and put a variety of meats inbetween - sausage, egg, bacon. Yum!
