Sightseeing
This is a great drive with excellent views. There is a lookout on the southwest side of the dam with picnic tables and a pretty awning. On the Southeast side, you can park and walk to another lookout. We see lots of locals do this but be very careful. It's not a easy walk and hard to see cars passing.

Check out Fort Gibson Historic Site. It is a historical military site. Catch them during certain times and you may get to see a candle light tour, old fashion bread baking, live interaction of life at the fort in the 1800s, and hopefully more since the area was just restored.
