Drinks & Nightlife
The Varnish is a unique LA experience. It is a Speakeasy in the back of Cole's restaurant with the best craft cocktails you will ever have. They play spectacular live music several nights a week. It's something you shouldn't miss. Definitely ask for Bartender's Choice when you go, and if you have happen to enjoy gin and raspberries as much as I do you must get a Chanticleer.

Getting Around
If you walk to this metro stop from the house, I recommend that you walk up 6th street and head north to Hill. I would avoid taking 5th street.
