Ohhh, this place just makes my stomach so happy. The rainbow panang curry on literally anything tastes like heaven. This is about a 20 minute drive from the house, but well worth it, especially if you find yourself in East Memphis.

So this is actually a shack located in a Lowe's parking lot. And, like most food located in strange places in Memphis, is absolutely delicious. Kevin swears by the trout tacos.

Like it says in the title, Gus's is indeed world famous, and justifiably so! Samin Nosrat (Salt Fat Acid Heat author) has even attempted to recreate their recipe in her now-popular book.
NOTE: All of their food is fried in peanut oil, so if you have nut allergies, this is likely not for you.
