Oregon Beach 3.5 miles from the house at the end of Main Street. Traffic is light and there is a sidewalk almost all the way there. It's quiet and fisherman can be spotted there.

Just a 6-minute drive or a leisurely walk from the house. A typical Cape Cod local restaurant that's more like a sports bar and frequented by the locals.

Have you heard about the Whoopi Pies? The best place to get them is at The Corner Store. It's also famous for their burritos. Can't miss this one.

Sightseeing
It’s a short easy hike through the woods on a path that ends on a rocky knob surrounded by the ocean. Well worth the trip to Falmouth. There is parking but limited. My favorite spot on the Cape. After visiting The Knob, swing by Woods Hole and visit the Nobske Lighthouse.

A bit of history and a fantastic view of the ocean. Visit along with The Knob and perhaps the free NOAA Aquarium. (the Aquarium should be open to the public by the summer, and a new seal may be up for visitors)

This is a free aquarium sponsored by the federal agency NOAA's Northeast Fisheries Science Center. It small, but the fish are amazing. The upstairs area has a hands on tank for the kids (young and old). The aquarium has a new seal they are nursing back to good health and may be ready for visitors by summer.

Traveler advice
Getting around
Local Bus
If you want to avoid driving in traffic and paying for parking, consider taking the local bus. Just take the two-minute walk to Rt 28, and when you see the bus, wave at it, and it will stop to pick you up. See the linked brochure for more information https://www.capecodrta.org/downloads/winter_2022/CCRTARidersGuideSpring2022.pdf. The summer schedule is not released yet.
Getting around
Travel to Martha's Vineyard or Nantucket
You can take the local transit bus to either ferry to get you to Martha's Vineyard or Nantucket. Or, there is parking lots available close to the ferries. Last I knew parking was $25, but I could be wrong.
