Plenty of boulders for climbing and several animal foot trails to wind your way to the top. There isn't a particular path but this spot is popular with climbers. This is mountain climb is a tough one but you'll be rewarded with beautiful views of mountains and prairies between Marfa and Fort Davis.

A great, quick but very uphill climb located behind Sul Ross University in Alpine. If you make it to the top you'll see a bicycle in a tree, a government metal desk with journals to make your mark and several painted rocks. The views are breathtaking.

My favorite place to walk to from the house where I can grab a cup of Big Bend Coffee and a breakfast burrito and watch the sun rise while reading a local paper. Also a great place for organic foods and a variety of items you might need for your stay. This place opens at 7am.
