Also, old fashion Angelle’s hamburger and ice cream shop. next to Taunte Marie's is an old time Barber Shop. Many unique shops are located downtown including, artsy shops to antiques, to crafts. If music is your passion, this is the place for you. Extremely talented Musicians abound in Acadiana as do the dancehalls and festivals to accommodate their performances. Nature lovers can be contented with nearby Lake Martin where a bird sanctuary hosts thousands of nesting species, such as egrets, rosette spoonbills, wood ducks and more. The fabulous Atchafalya basin lies close as well with swamp tours and fishing to sleek you thirst.
