Its a traditional thatched old fashioned Devon pub - a roaring log fire in colder months - no awful video machines etc - they are very friendly, and the food is well priced and delicious! What more can you ask? Fridays and saturdays best book as they can get busy.

If you like your food - this is the place. Yes its a pub and restaurant, but for extremely reasonable prices the food is really excellent and NOT what you could cook at home. Specially adore their home made old fashioned suet puddings!!

Relaxed, simple unfussy place, good views from some seats over the beach, food is simple but tasty. staff are friendly. Where else can you eat 'hanging skewers' for both main and desert??

Just lovely- unspoilt, undeveloped, upland with granite tors - distant views to the south devon coast. Rainy and bleak but still has desolate beauty. Lots of walking. wild sheep and ponies. Great pubs and Inns - hound of the Baskervilles land!Land of legends, ghosts and myth.

Beautiful sandy beach stretched for miles once the tide is out. Have to clamber over some boulders. Lifeguard, WC and cafe. Fab for families. just be careful of the speed of the incoming tide catching people out.
