This is the best place for fine dining in Evanston. It's in a reclaimed horse stable and the entrance is off an alley. It's romantic and not inexpensive. Much of the food is prepared table-side.

The closest beach is a 20 minute walk. Lake Michigan is beautiful any time of year and the neighborhoods between here and there are gorgeous as well.

This restaurant is in the Ravenswood neighborhood and is 10 minutes from the guest suite location on Metra. If you go take the Ravenswood stop. It's a five minutes walk from there. The neighborhood has both leafy, residential and cool urban areas.

The neighborhood is loaded with restaurants and shops, including some notable antique shops.
