Turn right onto 172 South toward Blue Hill. Go about 5.5 miles and take a right onto Mountain Road (opposite Blue Hill Fairgrounds). There is a gorgeous, secluded beach in East Blue Hill called Curtis Cove. Drive into Blue Hill on 172, take a left onto 176, go past the East Blue Hill Library (quaintest library ever), down a hill and usually there are a few cars on the side of the road on the right. This is a more quiet, downeast type beach, you can swim, picnic, look for crabs, rocks to climb on, but it’s not a sandy beach with a restroom and snack shack if you get our drift.
