My favorite Local Places to Eat
Restaurants: The Tavern (some non-traditional food options--ie. beet sliders, Hang-over Easy (a diner without as much grease as is typical), The Olde Oak (combo neighborhood bar and hang-out place--you can play pool there! (Don't eat Breakfast there), and The Upper Cup (which both a barista guest and a coffee roaster guest says is excellent). You will not find such good coffee at any other establishment. Finally, a new Bier Garten.
There are other neighborhood restaurants but these are the ones I recommend.

Amazing restored theater. From the 20's--gold leaf and red velvet everywhere. Hosts Broadway musicals, a great Summer Movie series (which as offers an organist at every performance!), and so much more (ie: Yo Yo Ma played here). I love this place. Sometimes they have free tours.
