There are many street taco places and you should definitely go to one. This is not your typical taco place. My favorite? Braised Short Rib or Ensenada Fish.

Boise isn't Boise without our strong Basque community. Stroll through the Basque block and stop in for their croquettes or extra spice grinder. You will not regret it.

Totally quirky but delicious. A vegan sister and BBQ master brother put their skills together. We like the bar better, and it serves the full menu. Try the Big foot sandwich (pulled pork, mac and cheese and BBQ sauce on thick Hawaiian bread.

Bars
Very close to home and friendly. Typical pub fare, but you're there for a pint anyway. Doesn't get too noisy, and if you show up enough times they start remembering who you are.

Cafe
It's close, so that's a plus. They are appropriately friendly. It is cozy in a collegiate, concrete and heavy wood furniture sort of way. They get their pastries from Gaston's (only the best in Boise). And by the way - the coffee is really quite good.

Grocery Store
You know Whole Foods, Trader Joe's and Winco are all north on Broadway. And They are great for their own sort of thing; but honestly, the not so "hip" Albertson's has a ton of interesting wines, cheeses, unique to go lunches/soups etc... and a bar on the second floor. When you order food upstairs in said bar... they charge you the same as if you purchased it from downstairs. How cool is that.

Park
Come on, I can't not mention this gem of a park that happens to be behind your new home away from home!! Take up tennis or shoot some hoops, fly a kite, toss a frisbee or aerobie or just hang out with the friendly folks playing with their dogs.
