The La Luz trail will take you all the way up to Sandia Crest. If you’re up for a challenge it’s worth the trek. Drop a car off at the tram parking area then head over to the La Luz trail head. It’s nice to hike up La Luz then take the tram back down. I believe it’s 15.00 for a tram ride back down. But worth it. You will be plenty tired. Breathtaking views from the peak.

Park at the museum and hike over to Old Town. Some great restaurants and little shops along there but they’re a little pricey as they cater to tourists.
