The beer choices are generally great here and it's a cool atmosphere. The "cart" choices which is more like a food court with several options has always been good.

Fun tiki bar just a few blocks away. It's known for some good karaoke and fun drinks but be prepared when you walk in, it's very dark inside.

Run where Steve Prefontaine used to run. This trail started back in the 70's when the whole jogging craze took off. This is the perfect place to run, mostly on chopped up bark which is really springy and easy to run on. There are times it transitions to pavement. You can literally run on this trail for miles. Takes your along the river and even right next to Autzen Stadium.

There is a hiking trail that will take you along the Willamette river for several miles. Before I tell you more about it, let me tell you how to say Willamette. There's a saying that goes, "It's Willamette, dammit." If it rhymes you're saying it right. Leave the guest house and head west on D street. D street will run right into the bike/running trail that follows along the river. Several foot bridges along the way will take you over the river to the University of Oregon if you want. This is a great walk if you're going to Auten or campus.
