There are awesome paths, water attractions and food scenes. I Highly suggest taking the walking path across the street, down the stairs, and to the bridge that will take you down to the river walk, very cool! You would really enjoy staying here at The Heights Montgomery.
Maxwell AFB is a great place to visit, just stop by the Welcome Center at the entrance and they will provide you with a visitor pass. You must have valid ID to enter the base. Happy sightseeing!

Wright Brothers Park is within walking distance. Downtown is full of great restaurants to dine. The Alabama River is within walking distance and has a walking trail.
