Eating out in Robe
In general Robe is relaxed and casual with a good selection of restaurants and cafes. For breakfast or lunch I can recommend the Union, Drift or Governor Robe. There is also a bakery and pastry cafe. For dinner I can recommend Sails (especially for a special occasion), the Caledonian Inn or Olive’s has great pizza. There is a popular fish and chip shop and Sky Seafoods sell locally caught seafood as well as fish, chips and crays.

Walking tracks Long Beach to Obelisk lookout
Robe has some lovely cliff top walks and accessible paths. From Long Beach hug the coast over the bridge at the Outlet and along the cliff to Hooper’s Beach. Walking via the beach continue along the coast via the caravan park (best views in town) to Front Beach. There’s a ramp to the grassed area near the playground or steps to a path near the bowling club through to the main street and the Caledonian Inn. Continue walking along under the Norfolk pines past the Robe Hotel, Chinese monument and boat harbour. The path continues around the back of the boat harbour, past the jetty to the lookout.

Walking track from Obelisk to West Beach
Following the path from the Obelisk/Old Gaol ruins the limestone path follows the cliffs to the lighthouse. The terrain is steeper and rockier with secluded coves opening to the wild ocean. Continue along the coast past Doorway Rock to West Beach which is wild and woolly, great for a bracing walk!
