One of the best, secret places for brunch in Ballard. The restaurant is small, but their egg bakes and benedicts are amazing. It gets busy during the day, so it's good for early birds and small groups.

The Ballard Sunday market is our favorite. Here you can find fresh produce and foods from different local farmers and vendors in Washington. They close down part of downtown every Sunday for the market, so the atmosphere is fun and lively.

Sightseeing

The Hiram M. Chittenden Locks (locally known as the Ballard Locks) is a waterway system that connects the saltwater of the Puget Sound to the fresh water of the Ship Canal, which sits about 20 feet above sea level. Boats enter the locks, the gates close and the water rises or falls to the level of the destination waterway. Watch boats pass through the locks, explore the botanical gardens, and look for fish on the fish ladder.
