Try the yummy blackened salmon. It’s my go-to meal whenever Sundae Cafe is closed. Like a lot of restaurants on Tybee, the coleslaw is meh 🫤 Sundae Café's slaw is delicious btw.

Really good Mexican food and really good prices. Quick takeout & I love their salsa. I've only been here for lunch, a few dozen times, so I've never had their margaritas.
I've really enjoyed everything that I've tried. However, the carnitas weren't my favorite, but might just be me.

-Try the shrimp wrap when it's available or the jerk chicken.

Salt Island has been recommended by several guests. I’ve had good food and great service both times I’ve visited. However, I plan to visit more before writing a detailed recommendation.
My only criticism is the lunch sandwiches. The focaccia bread used was fine, but it took away from the deliciousness of the grilled fish. I usually get the Kahlúa Pig, its very good.

Recommending because it's Tybee's only restaurant on the beach (Fannies restaurant faces the ocean but their food is not great).
I haven't had a chance visit this restaurant yet since I now live in TN most of the time. Online reviews are positive, and the owners seem to be very proactive. Nice to enjoy a meal & cocktail on the beach 🏝️

I really want this place to work out! As a health nut, I was thrilled when they opened. However, it seemed they had a few kinks to work out. Given their excellent online reviews, perhaps I visited on off days. I will try again on my next trip down.
Let me know if you have a strong opinion either way.

Tybee has two dog parks; one for small dogs and one for large dogs. A great option since they cannot go on the beach. They are located at the intersection of Van Horne and Fort Streets, between the Police Station and River's End Campground and RV Park. The fenced enclosure allows your dog to enjoy time off-leash. Open from dawn till dusk. Please use the parking spaces (free parking) on Van Horne and do not park in the police impound lot. Limit of two dogs per handler.

You cannot come to Savannah and not eat at Mrs. Wilkes! Great southern food! Get there early because it’s always busy.
Here’s the details...
A line gathers each morning at 107 West Jones Street. At 11 o'clock, the doors of 107 open and the lunch crowd finds seats at one of the large tables-for-ten shared by strangers. Tabletops are crowded with platters of fried chicken and cornbread dressing, sweet potato souffle, black-eyed peas, okra gumbo, corn muffins and biscuits. The menu changes daily so regulars can have something different every day. Stop by and enjoy the special pleasure of a meal shared with neighbors and strangers.

The Olde Pink House. Feeling fancy? The Pink House is an elegant colonial mansion that serves wonderful food. Bar/tavern downstairs with the occasional band. Located downtown, 23 Abercorn St, Savannah. If you're ever in the tavern, and they still have the chocolate torte, get it.
-Fun fact…..The house was originally built out of red brick and then covered in white plaster. The red from the brick would bleed into the plaster, turning it pink. Call for reservations.
