35 Market LnThe Pure South ethos is all about fresh, delicious produce from Tasmania and the Bass Strait Islands. Why? Because, it’s some of the best produce in the world. One bite and you’ll be on the same page. With a menu ranging from Flinders Island pasture-fed wallaby, to Cape Grim grass-fed Black Angus eye fillet, and Bass Strait line-caught fish, there’s something for everyone, here. The view, though? Oh boy—it’s a goodie! This prime piece of real estate looks out across the Yarra and is, just quietly, the perfect spot for people watching.

Melbourne is home to the best Greek food in Australia—no doubt about it. Southgate, is no exception to the rule: ENA means one in Greek. These guys do rustic, authentic Greek food (with a view, of course) with the absolute freshest ingredients, all cooked over coal fire. Ugh—feels like we’re in Greece already. Now all that’s left to do is eat bottomless plates of dolmades while soaking in that killer view.

In case the name didn’t give enough spoilers—it’s home to one of the city’s best views across the Yarra. Head here for freshly shucked oysters in the sunshine, delicious charcuterie, and some of the best potatoes you’ll ever eat (they come with confit garlic, so…). The mains are equally as mouth-watering; think duck breast with cranberry, maple, and Brussel sprouts so good you’ll curse childhood for ever turning them away.

When you think about delicious food with epic views, your mind tends to wander to fresh seafood. Exactly why, we’re not sure, but, wicker chairs and the outdoor set up make us feel like we’re on a European Holiday, sitting by the Mediterranean. There’s an Oyster Bar, and a Raw Bar, so you know the seafood here is fresh and delish. See you there?

If you don’t like Yum Cha, you’re obviously lying. Red Emperor does Yum Cha and other delicious Chinese fare, with (you guessed it) one hell of a view. The Dim Sum chefs start work on filling up the Yum Cha trollies at dawn every day, so you can guarantee it’s fresh. Their mains are nothing to be scoffed at either, with Snow Crab, Abalone, and Coral Trout dishes filling up the menu.
