Wagonhammer Trailhead is 1/4 mile above Wagonhammer Spring, a roadside USFS rec site along the Salmon River on US93. This is across the highway from Wagonhammer Campground, 20 miles north of Salmon and 2 miles south of North Fork.
Wagonhammer - Elk Trail Loop is a 14.7 mile lightly trafficked loop trail located near North Fork, Idaho that features a river and is rated as difficult. The trail offers a number of activity options and is best used from April until November. Dogs and horses are also able to use this trail.
