Recreation
Hike above the lake for amazing views ( Maiden's Cliff, for one) swim, boat in the fresh clear water. When we go boating on the lase we stay out exploring for hours. So fun to see the islands and all the little ( and big) lakeside camps. In Maine a home on a lake is a camp, on the ocean we call it a cottage.

Has it all. Also has crowds...but the view from library hill to the harbor is not to be missed. Many restaurants with seaside dining. Lovely library, park and ampitheater, where they sometimes have Shakespeare plays or music.
