We're right on the Water of Leith Walkway. It's an easy going path on the line of the old railway. Great for cycling, walking and dogs. It follows the river passing weirs and the sites of old mills from the areas industrial past. It has riverbanks and trees to explore for children. Upstream goes for about 1.5 miles to Balerno. Downstream goes all the way to Leith through nearby villages of Juniper Green and Colinton. There are many other local footpaths that can be combined to make circular walks.
