Beautiful areas of Agüimes to stroll around and catch the essence of the place
Temisas is a beautiful calm village in the mountains of Agüimes. The road is windy, but the views are worth it and you can stop on the way to visit the crazy rock formations in the Valle de las Vacas.

Here you can sun bathe on the wooden platforms along the Arinaga sea wall and swim in pristine waters. You'll see many fish if you snorkel or scuba dive! I recommend swimming here with the high tide because water access is rocky otherwise.

Old dock now used by locals to sun bathe or dive into the fresh, clear waters. Be careful not to dive when the tide is too low.

There are many restaurants in Agüimes and Arinaga serving great local dishes. For a great evening tasting everything Agüimes has to offer, don't miss the tapas night in Arinaga! My favorite tapas are from Nelson, El Timón and La Farola.

This square is the heart of the Agüimes old town. It offers adults a place to rest and chat in the shade while the children are free to play. The square is the stage for the town's celebrations throughout the year, such as carnival in February, the Nuestra Señora del Rosario festivities late September, and New Years Eve.
