Traveler advice
Getting around
Bus is cheaper and you can enjoy the double deckers!
Transport: You can pay with your contactless card. By bus the fare is £1.5 and underground usually £2.4 to the centre. There is cap for the day around £6.60 meaning that once you paid that on a day, it shouldn’t charge more (daily fare). Alternatively you can get an Oyster card from the underground but that will cost £5. Neither bus or underground accept cash.
From the Flat to go to Picadilly, Soho, Chinatown… etc I advise you to take the bus 29 next to the fish and chips at the end of the road (Bus stop F), get to the upper deck and enjoy the ride, it is around 30min only! Same bus goes next to the Brisith Museum, Oxford Street, ends at Trafalgar Square, and runs 24h!
