This is my favorite place in Memphis to take a stroll. If the museum is open, the bridge from downtown to the island is open. If the bridge isn't open, you can drive around the back of the pyramid to get to the parking lot. Parking is a bit pricey @ $12.

Arrive an hour or two before sunset, go up to the observation deck and have dinner and drinks while the sun sets over the Mississippi River.
