This is a pub restaurant. It is close to my home and very popular with locals, so it may be necessary to book on a Friday or Saturday night. I am happy to do this ahead for guests arriving in the afternoon. It has excellent pub meals with an ever-changing menu.

Part of a local shopping centre known as Strath Hill. As well as the baker, there is also the butcher, but not a candlestick maker! However, there is a fish shop, Mexican, bank and op shop. Clothing store as well.

557-559 Napier StKennington Reservoir is only a 15-20 minute walk from my home and it is one of the reasons I decided to settle in this area when I came to Bendigo. It is the 'Central Park' of Bendigo, a wonderful bushland reserve full of little, hidden walking tracks and great surprises in terms of flora and fauna- wattles, bottle brush, kookaburras and parrots and even, at times, a kangaroo. (Many kangaroos graze on the outer edges of Kennington in the evening.)

This is a most beautiful park in Bendigo, Named after Rosalind in Shakespeare's 'As You Like It' who was sent into exile. Perhaps that is why the early settlers gave it this name. Full of statuary, garden walks and a stunning conservatory. Great for picnics and just peace and quiet.
