(Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays Only.) Hawaii Island Humane Society's Field Trips for Shelter Dogs is a fun and fulfilling way to help a dog in need. Sharing your day with a shelter dog makes a tremendous difference in that pup's life. From giving them a much needed shelter break to helping them meet potential adopters, your new shelter dog friend will be so lucky to spend time with you. Research from Maddie's Fund shows that even a few hours out of the shelter can have a positive impact on dogs living in a shelter.
