Cozy patio and coffee shop. We recommend the lox bagel. Their porch is wonderful. If you haven’t noticed, we’re suckers for a nice patio.

Vegetarian and Vegan Indian food. Even if you’re a carnivore (like us), you won’t even miss meat at this place. The Paneer Tikka Masala is our favorite dish. Located in the Hawthorne neighborhood.

Gorgeous waterfalls in the Columbia River Gorge (about 45 min drive from here). You can view the falls and cross the bridge at the bottom, or hike the 2.2 miles (700 ft elevation gain) to the top for an incredible view. If you can, try to visit on a weekday and/or early morning or late afternoon—it can get crowded and parking is challenging.
