Sightseeing

https://visitsouthernarizona.com/about-the-courthouse/ The Pima County Historic Courthouse is among Tucson’s most beloved landmarks. Designed by architect Roy Place, this iconic Spanish Colonial Revival-styled structure was built in 1929 and remained in service for an 86-year span during which time it served as the backdrop for numerous wedding proceedings and became home to several County departments. In 1978, this building obtained its “Historic” designation from the National Register of Historic Places. It was dubbed the “most outstanding Spanish Colonial Revival building in Arizona” with its “elegant blue-tiled dome” recorded as the most prominent feature. Rightfully so, as this iconic mosaic dome has become one of the most recognized structures in the region, including the official Pima County logo.

Hotel Congress is quite historic. John Dillinger was one of its most famous guests. The story of his capture and the arrest is illustrated all along the hallway leading to the bathrooms. They have entertainment every weekend And there is usually a waiting list for the restaurant. Try breakfast or lunch is you tour downtown

Tucson Bike Loop Rillito River Park 110 miles of bike path surround Tucson. access the loop in a 2 minute bike ride from my house. go right out of the cul de sac and ride down past the horses and into Rio Vista Park, staying on the bike path.. after you go past the grassy park, the bike path is directly ahead. an easy ride is to go right and then left over the walking bridge and the right again. you'll come to Brandi Fenton park in a few minutes. if you feel stronger, cross over Alvernon Road and continue on the path, next major stop is Swan. riding to Swan and back is about 30–ish mins. https://pimamaps.maps.arcgis.com/apps/webappviewer/index.html?id=6621892ce6474ba79c51a736a212c6d9

AJ’s is a bit pricey and the food selections reflect the cost. Excellent meats and seafood and vegetables. They have an outdoor patio that serves grilled food and you can also buy meals inside at the deli counter’s and then eat outside. It has a gorgeous view and the dining is very casual. There’s also a sushi bar inside as well as a small salad bar, deliciously cooked full meals and a sandwich salad pizza menu. It’s on par with a Whole Foods but more locally sourced

I love the food here. It’s always fresh and made to order. The original restaurant is downtown on Granada Street. it’s called safe because they have regional recipes from six areas in Mexico. It’s reasonably priced and you can eat insider out and always delicious.

I know this is a chain restaurant, but I love sitting outside because the view of the city is truly amazing and it’s quieter. I always bring my guests to either this restaurant or Guadalajara for Mexican.

This has been a favor of our family for 35 years. It’s been around since the 1940s and has known for its prime rib. It’s rustic and simple, but I do love the prime rib. My suggestion is to sit in the front room with the windows that used to be the front porch of the Ranch house - it’s less crowded a little more quiet and the view although it’s a courtyard is lovely. It’s a great place for the meat and potato crowd
