Local Park
I (Lauren) take our dog here at least once a week. There is a back entrance just down the street from us. Start by heading west on Caley Ave (towards the mountains). Two streets over (Lakeview St), you'll see the sign for Ketring Park on the right side. The back entrance is to the left past the fenced area down Lakeview. Ketring Park includes a beautiful and fishable lake as well as access to the Littleton Museum. It's incredibly scenic and almost always quiet and peaceful. Great place to read!

Roxborough State Park is home to incredible red rocks and some of the best hiking the state has to offer, just about 20 minutes away from our home! Carpenter's Peak Trail is my (Lauren's) favorite hike so far in the state; it's a great moderate six miles with such a variety of views and foliage! There are also plenty of easy hikes as well as a cool nature center. Admission fee is $7-$8.

Fun Historic Things!
The Littleton Museum is a fun place to learn not only more about Littleton's rich history, but Colorado's history as well! Make sure to check out the 19th century farm exhibits, where you can meet donkeys, goats, sheep, steer, and chickens!
From Littleton's website: "The Littleton Museum offers visitors a unique link between Littleton's past and present. Located on 40 acres adjacent to Ketring Lake, it encompasses three exhibition galleries, a children's interactive gallery, research center, lecture hall, and two 19th-century living history farm sites."

Carson and I are both from Florida, and grew up where deep southern cooking meets seafood. Enter our love for anything Cajun! The Lost Cajun has a few locations throughout Colorado, and we happen to frequent this one as well as the one in Frisco. Make sure to tell them it's your first time; they will send over a sampling plate to your table with their gumbo, jambalaya, crawfish etouffee, dirty rice, and lobster bisque!
