A Vegetarian and Family Friendly Eatery
Take your entire family squad out for breakfast or lunch at Greendales Cafe in the cute, country town of Pyree. The little ones will keep themselves busy in the outdoor play area while mum and dad settle in for a delicious feed in this picturesque country setting. The cafe is surrounded by green, rolling hills and if you're blessed with good weather then we highly recommend dining outside. You can get your traditional café fare here but with a vegetarian and vegan twist. There are many fresh salad options, falafel plates and a vegetarian brekky board that features eggs, feta, asparagus and cherry tomatoes (amongst many other ingredients!) over a piece of yummy local sourdough. The cafe sits inside a historic mill, alongside the Jindyandy Cottages plus many gift and antique stores so make a day of it and take the time to shop and explore.

A perfect way to end a day in the surf is by sitting down for some drinks at Little Snapper, a lovely local haunt in Culburra Beach. This venue is all about relaxed vibes paired with high-quality casual dining. In addition to its excellent fish and chip menu (there are a few delicious options to try!), the restaurant is a fantastic small bar too. With a great selection of craft beers, traditional cocktails and an extensive wine list that features a lot of local drops, it's a great place to unwind after a day of exploring. "Community Happy Hour" is from 5pm to 6pm every night and in January $1 from every cocktail sold will support the NSW Rural Fire Service, another awesome reason to stop by for a bevvy!

For a great eat-in or take-out Thai option you can’t beat Jing Jo Restaurant in the heart of Kangaroo Valley.
The restaurant focuses on the freshest local produce to create its Thai dishes. An unexpected brunch offering (Salmon Gravlax, Rice Paper Rolls) surprisingly delivers. However it’s the lunch and dinner sittings that the locals line up for. A favourite is the Nok Tod Kra Tiem – deep fried quail, Jing Jo style.
The restaurant is housed in a former gallery, and retains an artistic air by presenting a series of exhibitions throughout the year. Local artists are invited to display their art on the walls, providing a blissful backdrop for a classic Thai meal.

Scott eats here every week after a long day building houses in the area . Owners have upgraded and it’s a big improvement ... it’s noisy . TV plugging away and 80’s and 90’s music outside . This is by far the cheapest and absolute value for money in the Shoalhaven . Child friendly and has a Pool table , good beer on tap .. if you are after sophistication and style .. skip this pub . Bomaderry is not recommended late evening .
