Greater Romeo Washington Bruce Area
Just north of the hustle and bustle of big city sprawl is the historic village of Romeo. Romeo is comfortably nestled among family owned orchards and farms. A quiet small town, with storybook charm, Romeo's tree lined streets, historic sights and unique main street shopping make it a great place for a day trip or a spontaneous weekend getaway.
Fall is a great time to visit the many orchards in the area. Or drive to downtown Romeo to enjoy the Farmers Market on Saturday morning in the Romeo Village Park. Enjoy mainstreet, shopping and dining. Enjoy Sunday brunch at Blakes, or ask me about bicycles and take the Macomb Orchard Bicycle trail north to Armada and Richmond or south to Washington Twp and Stony Creek Park. For smaller children, the Orchard Hills Community Park on 33 Mile Rd, just off old Van Dyke has a skate path and swing sets.
