Everything Else
The Old Pier in Broadford has a gallery, craft/wool shop and guess what? there's an old pier! You'll see fishing boats and can walk along the very uneven surface. Look out for seabirds, herons and if you're lucky seals, otters and other sealife.

Parks & Nature
This is my favourite place (sshhh, don't tell everyone!). It's a circular walk on a fairly easy path with great views and at the end of the trail are the ruins of an abandoned village. It's never very busy (unlike the Fairy Pools and Old Man of Storr). It's often sheltered here and misses the worst of the weather. Turn right out of the driveway and after 0.5 miles or 1km turn left. After 5 miles you'll see the sign on the left. Take the track and there is a car park at the end. Park here, walk and enjoy the experience. Allow 2 hours. (I don't know why the address on the marker shows as East Kilbride, it's not! DO NOT use this post code, it is incorrect).

After a hair raising drive of around 7 miles on a twisting single track road, you will see the sign on the left for the Otter Haven. Park here. Then it is a short 20 minute walk on a good track. At the end is a small building where you can sit, watch and wait for wildlife, otters, seals and herons (if you are lucky). It's peaceful and often sheltered from the worst of the weather. Just past this trail is the small Skye Ferry which runs from Easter to October. It takes you to Glenelg on the mainland.

A pleasant coastal walk, not too long with beautiful views. Located on the outskirts of Broadford, heading north there is a car park just passed the cemetery on the right hand side. It is sometimes possible to walk back to the new pier but you must watch the tide and some clambering over rocks is necessary. Or park in Broadford and walk to the point from the new pier.
