Sightseeing
Culebra is a small, sparsely populated island. Flamenco Beach is a long crescent of white and turquoise water backed by tree-covered hills.
There are two ways to get to Culebra from mainland Puerto Rico. One is by air, flying out of an airport in the capital of San Juan; the other is by sea, taking a Ferry from La Ceiba(40 minutes from our apartment). Taking the ferry is far more economical than flying is.

Old San Juan is home to the San Juan National History Site, with buildings dating from the 16th century, including the San Felipe del Morro and San Cristobal fortresses and the old city walls. The Bautista Cathedral houses the tomb of Spanish explorer Juan Ponce de Leon. Brightly colored houses line cobbled streets and shady plazas, alongside cool cocktail bars and renowned Caribbean fusion restaurants.
My tip “Parking, always use the parking garage”.
Only a 40 to 45 minutes from our apartment. Great to enjoy all day long.
